This Cookie Policy explains how Farha uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites, in line with the Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023 of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and good international practice.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a site. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, and software development kits (SDKs) in apps. They help the site function, remember preferences, measure performance, and—where you consent—support marketing analytics.
2. Who sets cookies?
First-party cookies are set by Farha. Third-party cookies are set by partners such as analytics or advertising vendors when their scripts run on our pages.
3. Categories we use
- Strictly necessary: required for core functions such as security, load balancing, form submission, and remembering language or session essentials. These are typically exempt from consent requirements under the PDPL framework where they are strictly necessary to provide a service you request.
- Functional: remember choices (for example region or accessibility preferences) to improve experience.
- Analytics: help us understand aggregate traffic and feature usage (for example product analytics platforms).
- Marketing / attribution (if enabled): measure campaign effectiveness; we only activate non-essential marketing cookies where permitted and, where required, after consent.
4. Tools you may see on our site
Depending on configuration, we may use tools such as Mixpanel or similar product analytics, and Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics or comparable tags. The exact vendors may change; check your browser’s developer tools or our cookie banner (if present) for current tags.
5. Legal basis
For strictly necessary cookies, we rely on our legitimate interests and/or the exemption for necessary processing under the PDPL. For optional analytics or marketing cookies, we rely on your consent where Jordanian law requires it, and you may withdraw consent at any time.
6. How to control cookies
- Use our cookie preference centre if we provide one on the site.
- Adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies (see your browser’s help pages).
- Use industry opt-out tools where available for specific ad networks.
Blocking some cookies may limit certain features (for example saved preferences).
7. Retention
Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies expire according to each vendor’s policy, typically from a few months up to twenty-four months unless renewed by a new visit and applicable consent.
8. Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy when our practices or the law change. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised accordingly.
9. Contact
Questions: Contact us or see our Privacy Policy for broader data-handling information.
